Your Protection

Identity Theft

Identity theft happens when someone uses your legal name, credit card number, social security number, passwords, or pins of your financial accounts, to make purchases, get cash, or commit fraud in your name.

When your personal and financial information gets into the wrong hands and turns your financial life into a living nightmare your identity has been compromised. It is critical to understand how identity theft happens to avoid becoming a victim and to have a plan ready to defend yourself if your identity is stolen.

Insurance

Insurance is all about how you will handle the risk you face in life. This process, however, is not easy to understand and incorporates various factors and personal considerations. On a basic level, insurance allows you to pool your risk with others so that an occurrence or incident does not cause you financial hardship.

Insurance planning is a critical component of a comprehensive financial plan that includes evaluating risks and determining the proper insurance coverage to mitigate those risks. Therefore, insurance is an economic device transferring risk from you to a company and thus reducing the uncertainty of risk via pooling.

Credit Score and Report

Your credit score and report affects you as a consumer because it is used as the standard measurement for extending other credit such as renting an apartment, buying a car, purchasing a home, or getting additional credit cards. In order for you to apply for and get approved for a new line of credit, a credit card, or any loan, the lender uses your credit score to make sure you qualify for the loan and to calculate your interest rate, annual fees, and down payments you will be required to abide by to get your loan.

The higher your score, the better your options will be in negotiating the terms of your loans. Additionally, your credit score and aspects of your report may be used to determine your suitability for employment.

Mental and Emotional Health

You will want to stay protected at all levels in your life; personal, health, social, emotional, mental, and financial levels. You will need to understand risk management, insurance coverage, identity theft protection, fraud, and scams, in order to master self and family financial protection in life.

When you have the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate all of these self-protective measures, you are able to live a life with a high degree of satisfaction, assurance, and freedom to enjoy what you consider important.
